Saaskly launches: business software reviews that show the price you will actually pay

London, 7 September 2026. If you have ever chosen a phone system, an email service or a VPN from a comparison site and then found the renewal bill bore no relation to the price you were shown, Saaskly (saaskly.com) was built for you. It is an independent review site for the software small and mid-sized businesses buy, and it publishes the price people actually pay: the month-to-month rate first, the committed rate second, and the premium for not committing. Where a category is sold on an introductory deal, as domain names and VPNs are, it shows the renewal price and how much the second term costs compared with the first. Across the products ranked so far that premium runs from nothing to more than 1,500%.

The site went live on 27 August and today ranks 79 products across eight categories: phone systems and VoIP, transactional email, cloud management, SEO and AI-search tools, social media management, content creation software, domain registrars and VPNs. It is published by Next Generation ICT Ltd, a UK company that has run this kind of infrastructure for its own clients for more than a decade.

What makes it different

Every claim says whose experience it rests on. A verdict from running a product in production for clients is labelled first-party. Everything else is assessed on published pricing, feature sets and Trustpilot evidence and labelled "not yet tested". When a vendor corrects its own data through the verified vendor portal, that carries its own label too, so readers can always tell whether they are reading experience or research.

The site is also built to be read by AI assistants. Every page has a Markdown version, and the whole catalogue is available through an MCP server and a documented REST API, free and without a key. When someone asks an assistant which phone system to buy, the answer can come from a source that shows both prices and labels its evidence.

How Saaskly makes money, and what that cannot buy

Reading is free, for people and for software. Income comes from display advertising, disclosed affiliate links, disclosed sponsorship and, from this month, consultancy on selecting and deploying business software, priced from £800 a day on the pricing page. A score is set before any commercial relationship exists and is never changed by one. Affiliate links appear on products ranked near the bottom as readily as on winners. A vendor can pay to be reviewed sooner, never for the result.

"We have bought, run and been let down by a great deal of business software over the years," said Tim Meredith, founder of Next Generation ICT Ltd and editor of Saaskly. "Saaskly is where we write down what that experience says: what a product really costs, whether it does the one job it exists to do, and how the vendor behaves when the price goes up. If we stopped using something, we say so, and why."

On publishing for machines: "People increasingly ask an AI assistant which phone system or editor to buy. If the assistant is going to answer, we would rather it answered from a source that shows both prices and labels its evidence. So we made the whole site readable by agents on day one."

What is on the site today

  • Rankings for eight categories, each with a comparison table: real pricing on both bases, the minimum commitment, the Trustpilot score and the specifications that matter for that category.
  • A profile for every product with the verdict, pros, cons, pricing tiers and a spec sheet.
  • Eight long-form comparison articles, including best domain registrars, best VPN providers, best content creation software and best business VoIP phone systems.
  • A vendor portal where a company's own staff can correct data, confirm pricing and request a listing.
  • A CRM category in testing, with first verdicts to follow.

Update, 8 September 2026: CRM, VPS and hosting, password managers and accounting software are now ranked. The catalogue stands at 124 products across twelve categories, each with a comparison article.

Update, 9 September 2026: antivirus and endpoint security is now ranked, thirteen products with Bitdefender GravityZone first. The catalogue stands at 137 products across thirteen categories.
