NordLayer
Nord Security's business network: per-user pricing from $8 with a five-seat floor, SSO on every plan, UK dedicated servers in London and Manchester, but every feature a small business actually wants (fixed IP, site-to-site, device-to-device "Cloud LAN", cloud firewall) sits on top of a $40-a-month server and mostly the $14 Premium tier, it logs by design, and it has no Trustpilot profile and no API.
How we testNordLayer (Nord Security Inc., New York, contracting under English law, a different entity from NordVPN's Panama company; launched 2019 as NordVPN Teams, renamed September 2021) is what Nord sells to companies, and it should be read as a managed-access product rather than a privacy VPN. Prices are per user per month in USD to UK visitors, ex VAT, five users minimum: Lite $8, Core $11, Premium $14 on monthly billing, with "SAVE 20–22%" badges for annual billing (about $6.40 / $8.69 / $10.92, computed, not quoted). There is no intro pricing, so no renewal cliff, though renewals are at "the then-current price" and are not refundable. Six devices per licence, NordLynx and OpenVPN, Always On VPN, web protection and download scanning on every plan, DNS and application filtering from Core, and SSO with Okta, Entra ID, OneLogin, Google and JumpCloud on all plans. That last one is unusual at this price. The catch is the "Server with Dedicated IP" at $40 a month: Core and Premium's network features require it, and it is the fixed IP (UK: London and Manchester), the Virtual Private Gateway, the anchor for site-to-site IKEv2 tunnels, for Cloud LAN (the renamed Smart Remote Access, which links devices through the gateway rather than peer-to-peer) and for the cloud firewall. Cloud LAN, site-to-site, the browser extension and included SCIM are Premium only. A realistic floor for a five-person team wanting a UK fixed IP is Core at 5 × $11 plus $40, so $95 a month ex VAT, or $110 on Premium.
What NordLayer is not: audited for no-logs. Its privacy policy lists connection timestamps, gateway, origin IP and device hostname as data the customer's admin can see, and "activity monitoring reports" are a listed feature. The Deloitte no-logs engagements belong to NordVPN. NordLayer holds ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2, which are control audits. There is no public API (webhooks only), no open-source client, Linux is CLI-only, support is 24/7 chat and email with no phone, and there is no Trustpilot profile at all. Gartner Peer Insights and G2 listings exist but we do not use their scores as facts. NordLayer runs an affiliate programme on Nord's shared platform; Saaskly has no link.

*Renewal premium: how much more the longest plan costs per month after its introductory term than during it, as a percentage of the intro rate. VPNs advertise the intro rate; you pay the renewal every term after. 0% means the advertised price is the real price. Prices are per month, effective (plan total ÷ months), as shown to a UK visitor on the research date, in the currency the vendor bills UK customers in; see each profile for the VAT basis.
