Yeastar P-Series

SMB PBX sold as appliance, software or cloud edition through channel partners — solid and well-supported in the UK, but an infrastructure product rather than a cloud-native platform.

Saaskly score

Yeastar's P-Series comes in three editions — a physical appliance (P520–P570, roughly 20 to 300 users), a Software Edition you run on your own VM or cloud, and a Cloud Edition hosted by Yeastar or a partner — licensed per PBX via all-inclusive Standard/Enterprise/Ultimate plans rather than per-user add-ons. It has good Teams presence sync (via Call2Teams), CRM integrations, an Open API with webhooks, Linkus clients and enhanced 999 handling, and a strong UK channel.

Only the appliance plan price is public (P550 Enterprise about $33 a month billed annually); cloud and software pricing is partner-portal only. We have run Yeastar in production: like 3CX, it needs infrastructure behind it rather than being a properly cloud-native platform, which is the main reason it sits mid-table. Trustpilot has no usable data.

Cons

  • Needs your own (or a partner’s) infrastructure — not cloud-native (our direct experience)
  • No public cloud or software-edition pricing
  • Partner-only purchasing

*How we calculate minimum commitment. Headline per-user prices hide the real cost of trying a platform. Total cost of ownership is licence × seats × term, plus usage, add-ons, setup fees and any early-exit charges. Our "minimum commitment" figure is the floor of that: the entry plan's committed rate × the minimum seats the vendor will sell × the months you must commit to (one month at the month-to-month rate where there is no commitment; the licence price where it is sold per year). It deliberately excludes usage, add-ons and prerequisite licences, so your real first bill will be higher — but never lower than this. For Teams Phone the excluded prerequisites are the Microsoft 365 and Teams licences.
