Mitel MiVoice Business

Enterprise hybrid PBX from a vendor that went through Chapter 11 in 2025 and shut its own cloud service in 2026 — the legacy option, for estates that already own it.

How we test
2.3/5
Saaskly score

MiVoice Business still does what it always did: an enterprise PBX for 5 to 65,000 users on Mitel controllers, your own virtualised infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Proxmox) or AWS/Azure, with MiCollab clients, 6900-series phones, CloudLink REST APIs and, since 2025, Zoom Workplace bundled in for collaboration.

What has changed is everything around it. Mitel filed for Chapter 11 in March 2025 and emerged in June owned by its lenders with a new CEO; MiCloud Connect was shut down permanently in June 2026 with customers pointed at RingCentral; MiVoice Office 250 support ended the same month; and MiVB 10.5 is the last release for several controller families. Pricing is quote-only through partners. Trustpilot has only two reviews — no signal. We have run Mitel in production — archaic, bloated and old-fashioned. That is our direct experience, and the reason it ranks last.

Cons

  • Archaic, bloated and old-fashioned (our direct experience)
  • Chapter 11 restructuring, MiCloud shutdown and controller end-of-life churn
  • Opaque quote-only pricing; no native Teams integration
