Zoho CRM

The broadest CRM for the least money: a free plan for three users, £12 a user on Standard, £18 on the Professional tier a team needs, sequences from the entry tier, an MCP offering, EU hosting, and a monthly-billing premium of 56% on the real tier; first-party, and ranked last because in our experience the software feels a grade below its rivals.

Zoho CRM (Zoho Corporation Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, founded 1996 as AdventNet, privately held and bootstrapped, over 10,000 staff, EU hub in Utrecht) is the widest product here for the price, and it is part of the widest suite: Zoho One bundles the CRM with some 45 other apps, and CRM Plus bundles it with Desk, Campaigns, SalesIQ and Analytics, both priced separately from the CRM ladder below. Prices in GBP, ex VAT ("local taxes will be charged in addition"), read in a UK browser on 8 September 2026. Free is up to three users with leads, deals, workflows, reports and the mobile app. Standard is £12 a user a month on annual commitment or £16 monthly, and unusually for an entry tier it already includes Cadences (Zoho's sequences), workflows, assignment rules, AI agents, reports and forecasting. Professional, at £18 annual or £28 monthly, is the tier a 10-seat team needs for CPQ quoting, email intelligence, multi-step process automation (Blueprint) and inventory. Enterprise (£35 / £45) adds the Zia AI sales assistant, journey orchestration, territories, custom functions and customer portals; Ultimate (£42 / £55) adds consulting and migration help. No seat minimums and no onboarding fees were found. Zoho's own MCP offering covers CRM, Mail, Desk and other apps. Data centres are chosen by signup location, with the EU served from the Netherlands and no UK centre; an account's data centre cannot be changed without re-registering, and Zoho's own apps have to sit in the same one, which is the practical trap for a business that adds Zoho Campaigns later.

Two numbers stand out on the pricing page. The gap between annual and monthly billing on Professional is 56%, the widest in this comparison, so the £18 headline only exists for a business that pays a year up front. And the terms say a price increase "will not apply until the expiry of your then current billing cycle", with no notice period stated, auto-renewal unless you tell Zoho seven days before, and a refund window of 45 days on annual plans. Trustpilot is company-wide (zoho.com, 3.9 on 6,118 reviews, 12% one-star) rather than CRM-specific, with recent themes of download limits locking users out of their own data, billing disputes and support that re-asks for the same information. G2 is around 4.1 on 2,900 and Capterra around 4.3 on 7,000.

In our experience: Zoho is one of the three CRMs we have deployed and supported for clients over the past decade, thousands of seats in total. It is the low-cost option with a broad range of capabilities, and it earns its place on that. In our experience the software just feels lower quality: it does not have the polish of HubSpot, Pipedrive or Attio, and that showed up in day-to-day use often enough to put it last among the three products we have deployed for clients. That is an opinion from experience, labelled as such; the price and the feature list are facts, and for a business that will pay annually and does not mind the rough edges, it is a great deal of CRM for £18.

Cons

  • Monthly billing costs 56% more than annual on Professional, the widest gap here
  • Data centre fixed at signup with no UK option; every Zoho app must share it
  • First-party: the software feels a grade below its rivals in daily use; company-wide Trustpilot 3.9 with support and billing themes

*Real tier: the plan a 10-seat business with a pipeline, email sequences, basic automation and reporting actually needs, because CRM entry tiers are deliberately thin. Prices are per user per month on annual commitment, as shown to a UK visitor on the research date, in the currency the vendor bills UK customers in; see each profile for the VAT basis and for what the entry tier leaves out.

**Renewal terms: what the vendor's published customer terms allow it to do to your price when an annual contract renews. "Fixed" means the terms contain no uplift clause; "capped" means an increase is allowed up to a stated percentage; "uncapped" means the vendor may set a new price on notice. Read with the profile, which quotes the clause.
