Kapwing
Web-only social video editor with a full AI toolkit (voice clone, dubbing with lip sync, eye contact, avatars) at $16 a member on annual billing, but USD-only, 50% dearer month-to-month, and with a Trustpilot rating currently suspended.
How we testKapwing (San Francisco; founded 2018, ~US$12.7M raised, ~48 staff) is a browser video editor aimed at social and repurposed content: multi-layer timeline, resize-for-every-platform, transcript-based Smart Cut and silence removal, auto-subtitles in 100+ languages, ElevenLabs-powered voice cloning, AI dubbing with lip sync, eye-contact correction, AI Personas and an AI Studio for text- and image-to-video, plus a screen and camera recorder and real-time co-editing on paid plans. Pricing is USD only, per member: Pro $16 a month on annual ($192) or $24 month-to-month; Business $50 or $64, with 1,000 or 4,000 AI credits a month, 120-minute exports and 4K on both. The free tier is more of a demo: watermark on everything, 720p, four-minute exports, 30 minutes a month, projects deleted after three days.
There is no mobile or desktop app, no public API, no MCP server, and SAML SSO is Enterprise-only; subscriptions are non-refundable. The review picture needs stating carefully: Trustpilot has suspended Kapwing's rating "due to a breach of our guidelines" across 1,368 reviews, 75% of them five-star, which is itself a warning sign; the one-star themes are "free" tools that hit a paywall within minutes, failed or distorted exports, and copy-paste support.
Not yet tested by Saaskly: assessed on Kapwing's published pricing, feature set and third-party reviews (G2 4.1 on ~40).

*How we calculate minimum commitment. Headline per-user prices hide the real cost of trying a platform. Total cost of ownership is licence × seats × term, plus usage, add-ons, setup fees and any early-exit charges. Our "minimum commitment" figure is the floor of that: the entry plan's committed rate × the minimum seats the vendor will sell × the months you must commit to (one month at the month-to-month rate where there is no commitment; the licence price where it is sold per year). It deliberately excludes usage, add-ons and prerequisite licences, so your real first bill will be higher, but never lower than this. One-off licences show the licence price; Camtasia is sold per year only. Prices are as shown to a UK buyer: Apple, Adobe (individual) and app-store prices include VAT, most SaaS vendors exclude it; see each profile.
