Webflow
The agency standard for marketing sites: CSS-level design control, a real CMS, an official MCP server on every plan including the free one, and SOC 2 and ISO 27001 on record. Premium is $25 a month on annual billing or $39 billed monthly. What to know: Webflow prices UK buyers in US dollars only, the May 2026 restructure lifts some renewals, code export needs a second paid Workspace subscription and never includes your CMS content, there is no SLA below Enterprise, and Trustpilot sits at 1.5 on billing complaints. You will want a designer.
How we testWebflow is a private San Francisco company founded in 2013 by Vlad Magdalin, Sergie Magdalin and Bryant Chou, with more than $330 million raised from Accel, Y Combinator, CapitalG, Silversmith, Khosla and Draper and a $4 billion valuation at its Series C; Linda Tong is chief executive. It bought Intellimize in 2024 and the AI asset generator Vidoso in March 2026. We found no Russian or Chinese link in ownership or engineering. There is no UK entity and no UK pricing: the page says "all prices in USD, per site, plus applicable taxes added at checkout".
Prices were read on 16 September 2026 after Webflow's restructure of 13 May 2026, which merged the old CMS and Business plans into Premium. Premium is the plan we score, because Basic below it has no CMS and so no blog: $25 a month on annual billing, $39 billed monthly, a 56 percent premium. It carries 20,000 CMS items, 50 GB of bandwidth (the old Business plan had 100 GB, and Webflow's own migration examples show some customers paying more after the change), unlimited form submissions, code components and site search. Basic is $15 or $25 for 300 static pages; Starter is free on a webflow.io subdomain with two pages; Team is $2,500 a month on an annual contract. A separate Workspace subscription governs seats, staging sites, custom code and code export: Core is $19 or $28 a month, Growth $49 or $60, extra full seats $39 a month. Ecommerce is an add-on from $29 a month with a 2 percent fee at the bottom tier. Localisation is a paid add-on from $9 a month per locale tier.
The Designer is a box-model canvas, which is why designers love it and owners struggle with it; Webflow AI, metered in credits, drafts pages and copy. Custom code has five injection points on paid plans, SEO controls include an audit panel for titles, descriptions, alt text and schema, 301 redirects need the Growth Workspace, and hosting runs on AWS with Fastly and CloudFront at a 99.99 percent target that is only contractual on Enterprise. EU hosting in Frankfurt or Ireland is selectable per project. The MCP server at mcp.webflow.com is official, OAuth-authenticated and available on every plan including Starter: it creates and edits pages, manages CMS items, SEO and accessibility fixes and publishes. Trust Center certifications cover SOC 2 Type II, SOC 1, ISO 27001, 27017, 27018 and 42001, plus the UK extension of the Data Privacy Framework. The status page logged two incidents in the days before our read; support is help centre and email with one to two business day responses, phone only on Enterprise.
Leaving is gated twice. Code export is a zip of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and assets, but only with a paid Workspace plan on top of your site plan, and it excludes CMS content, users, ecommerce data and localised pages, so a blog's posts do not come out. Trustpilot is 1.5 on 237 reviews, 66 percent one-star, with 2026 themes about AI credits applied mid-project, no refunds and site-wide style changes.
Not yet tested by Saaskly: assessed on published pricing, vendor documentation, the vendor's own help centre and status pages, and third-party reviews.

*Scored plan: the business plan the score is set on (the cheapest plan with a custom domain and no vendor branding, contact forms, basic SEO controls and room for a fifty-page site; for a managed WordPress host, one production site with staging and daily backups), per month on annual billing at the renewal price, then per month billed monthly where that is offered, in the currency the vendor shows a UK visitor on the research date. Developer CMSs show the licence plus a stated reference hosting cost. See each profile for the VAT basis, first-term promotions and what the plan above adds.
**Owned in: where the company that owns the vendor answers to. A US-owned vendor is subject to US law (including the CLOUD Act) wherever the site is hosted. "Russian or Chinese link" records ownership, management or engineering links found on the research date, with the evidence on the profile; Saaskly marks these down in the score by editorial rule and says so.
