WithSecure Elements

The Finnish business half of the old F-Secure, with EDR inside the scored bundle, patching included and a perfect 6/6/6 Top Product at AV-TEST in every 2026 round. Elements EDR and EPP for Computers is about £47.77 a device a year at 25 devices, but that is a reseller's price: WithSecure publishes none of its own and sells through partners. What to know: servers are a separate and much dearer SKU, it does not enter the AV-Comparatives business test, it was taken private by CVC in March 2026, and it has no Trustpilot presence at all.

WithSecure Corporation is the continuing company from Data Fellows, founded in Helsinki in 1988 by Petri Allas and Risto Siilasmaa and long traded as F-Secure. In July 2022 the consumer business was demerged as a separately listed F-Secure and the corporate business kept the listing and took the WithSecure name, so "F-Secure" and "WithSecure" are now two companies with one ancestry. The listing is history too: a consortium of CVC Capital Partners and founder Risto Siilasmaa, who rolled over his 34 per cent stake, completed a tender offer and WithSecure was delisted from Nasdaq Helsinki on 26 March 2026. It is EU-owned and describes its teams as spread across Europe and Japan; we found no Russian or Chinese link.

WithSecure publishes no list prices. Its pricing pages describe flexible annual, monthly and usage billing and end in "Talk to us" or a partner. The figures we have are read on 9 September 2026 from an authorised reseller storefront and a UK G-Cloud pricing document, in pounds and apparently ex VAT, so treat them as indicative: Elements EDR and EPP for Computers (Standard), the bundle we score because it is WithSecure's own "protect and detect" starting point, is £47.77 a device a year in the 25 to 99 band (£65.43 for one to 24); the Premium variant with DataGuard ransomware detection and application control is £51.75; EPP alone is about £44.16 from the G-Cloud sheet; and Elements EDR and EPP for Servers Premium is £114.40 a server in the 25 to 99 band, a separate line that makes a mixed estate dearer than the headline. MSP partners buy Elements Protect, an MDR-included bundle, from €16.90 a month a device. A 30-day trial of EPP plus EDR needs no card. Renewal terms and any UK price history were not published anywhere we could read.

The product is more complete than the price list. Rollback of file and registry changes after an attack is standard, an integrated Software Updater patches Windows, macOS and third-party applications, DataGuard and application control sit on the Premium tier, and Elements Collaboration Protection covers Microsoft 365 mail, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint as a separate module. The Elements Security Center is the single cloud console; integrations with NinjaOne, Datto RMM, N-able N-central and ConnectWise PSA are documented in WithSecure's own catalogue, and Elements Elevate and Elements MDR are the managed tiers above self-managed EDR. Console regions, SSO and SIEM export were not confirmed, and no MCP server was found.

AV-TEST's business Windows rounds in February, April and June 2026 all gave WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection 6 for protection, 6 for performance and 6 for usability, Top Product each time, and the lab says WithSecure has won Best Protection seven times; Elements EDR holds AV-TEST's Approved Advanced EDR certification. WithSecure is not among the sixteen vendors in AV-Comparatives' H1 2026 business test and we found no SE Labs endpoint rating; it did take part in MITRE's 2025 round. The security record is three denial-of-service CVEs in its scanning engine (2023 to 2025), all disclosed by WithSecure itself. Its Trustpilot profile is unclaimed with zero reviews; G2 gives Elements Endpoint Protection 4.4 on 108 reviews. Not yet tested by Saaskly: assessed on published pricing, the independent test labs, vendor documentation and third-party reviews.

Cons

  • No vendor list price and no card checkout: the prices here are a reseller's, and buying means a partner (marked down by editorial rule)
  • Servers are a separate SKU at about £114 a year each, more than double the workstation price
  • Absent from the AV-Comparatives business test and no SE Labs endpoint result found; delisted and taken private by CVC in March 2026; no Trustpilot presence

*Scored tier: the business tier the score is set on (the cheapest plan with a cloud console covering Windows, macOS and Windows Server), per device per year on a one-year term at about 25 devices, then per device per month where monthly billing exists, in the currency the vendor shows a UK visitor on the research date; see each profile for the VAT basis, the seat band and what the tier above adds.

**Owned in: where the company that owns the vendor answers to. A US-owned vendor is subject to US law (including the CLOUD Act) wherever the console data sits. "Russian or Chinese link" records ownership, management or engineering links found on the research date, with the evidence on the profile; Saaskly marks these down in the score by editorial rule and says so.
